Precious Pit Bull Was Stolen From Her Family

Back in December 27, 2013, sweet little bully Nina Louise was stolen away from her family. They were devastated. “We walked miles to search for her, we walked until we couldn’t walk any more.”

They never stopped looking for her.  April Morris thought she would never see her dog again. Morris said she put out flyers looking for the dog and even offered a $500 reward.

They never stopped looking for her.  April Morris thought she would never see her dog again. Morris said she put out flyers looking for the dog and even offered a $500 reward.

During a sting operation of a cockfighting ring authorities arrested 27 people and confiscated a a female pit bull they later learned had been stolen.

This cockfighting story was broadcast on the news while April Morris looked at the TV Screen in complete and  utter shock –  she saw a picture of  her dog, tied up and emaciated right there on the screen.
This is the image that was shown on TV that night. Emaciated and tied up with a metal chain. April recognized her right away.

Ms. Morris immediately reached out to  Jennifer Hyduke with the Humane Society of Marlboro who confirmed that the dog did in fact belong to Ms Morris when she precisely described the white marks on the back of Nina Louise’s neck and soon reunited the dog and April.

When Nina Louise saw Morris and her family, she started wagging her tail and ran straight to them, Morris said.

Many Thanks to Humane Society of Marlboro County for taking such good care of Nina Louise, feeding her and giving her tender loving care to nurse her back to good health. It is suspected that Nina Louise was only being fed corn and feed for roosters and chickens.
Deputies with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office said this dog wasn’t involved in any dog fighting the night of the raid, but was on the property and appeared to be in bad shape and that’s why it and the puppies were seized.

Tina, Nina Louise’s mom said It seems surreal to have her back.  “I wish she had been in better shape, but she’s alive and she’s here with us and she’ll never have to go through that again.”  “It’s such a miracle to have her back.”

Police officials believe that Nina Louise was used to bait dogs to fight based on the numerous scars on her head and face.

Pit Bill Awareness:

Despite being stolen from her family and enduring the cruel devastating mistreatment for two long years, this precious little girl is as docile and loving and calm as can be; more evidence that the nature (vs Nurture) of this amazing dog breed is once again proven. Pit Bull Terriers are sweet, loving, loyal and above all especially in this case, forgiving.

Nina Louise is a mother, she gave birth to 10 puppies even through such horrible conditions. Mother and babies recovered well and all the babies have been adopted.

Ms Morris had a chance to meet Nina Louis’s Babies.
